"Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love" - 1 John 4:8
I love coffee. It’s right there on my top 5 things I love! I’m always trying new brands and today the cup said “The way you like it!” How I like it! Isn’t it true that most of the time its about how “I like it” or “what I want?”
I ask myself the question, what do God want from me? What is His purpose for me? What could the creator of all things, the One that can do anything He want, possibly want from me? I’m sure lots of people ask that question and even King David did in Psalm 8:3-4, “When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?”
God wants me! He want a relationship with His children and He wants us to take His vertical love and make it horizontal. He created us so that He might love us and that we love Him. It’s that love that draws us in a relationship with Him. In 1 John 4-8 it doesn’t just say that God is love. It says that whoever does not know love, does not know God. Meaning when we unkind to others, turn our backs on suffering, we don’t know Him.
God want to be with everyone that He so passionately love. He did not create us to do things for Him, that will happen as a result of the relationship with Him. His desire for us His children is to be with Him in a relationship that will be eternal
