“He replied, ‘My mother and brothers are those who hear God’s word

and put it into practice.” – Luke 8:21

Yesterday, I was asked the question, “How do you put your faith in practice?” I wanted to do everything and more to serve God. Shout it from the trees! Nothing wrong with that, but it became very lonely out there, because it was all about things I could do for Him 24/7. I learned the hard way that its not the way to put my faith in practice. Yes I have to follow and serve Him, but that’s not why He called me into a relationship with Him. In the process I served but not invest in knowing Him. You know what? Me and you is all that God wants and that’s why He died for us. Trying to make an impact in the world, to change things and do everything for Him don’t impress God as I thought. I use the think my purpose was what I did for Him, rather than walking with Him.

So to answer the question. How do I put my faith in practice? I walk, listen, obey and follow Him. He will show me what He wants from me because after all He didn’t save me to make an impact, He don’t really need my help for that, He saved me so that I could be His child. Anything I do for Him give me an opportunity to work with Him and see what He have planned for my life in this world. I’m pretty sure that He rather want me to choose to live life with Him.
